The Wildlife Technician II assists biologists and scientists by performing a variety of tasks associated with fisheries and wildlife management, data collection, habitat management, boundary work, wildlife-related public recreation, public access to state-owned conservation lands, equipment operation and maintenance, education, licensing, law enforcement and public relations.

The basic purpose of this work is to contribute to the protection and management of the state’s diversity of plants and animals, their habitats, and the public’s ability to access and enjoy wildlife resources.  The Wildlife Technician II performs duties under limited supervision or formal review and within a framework of established procedures and standard, in order to support and assist biologists, culturists, and other environmental scientists.

The Wildlife Technician II is assigned to the Division of Fisheries and Wildlife’s Northeast District Office in Ayer.
