EPA Releases Dam Removal FAQ

In December 2016, the US Environmental Protection Agency released a document entitled “Frequently Asked Questions on Removal of Obsolete Dams“. This document provides background information and guidance on dam removal. It also provides a wide range of information including how dams affect water quality, permitting considerations and how EPA funds may be used for dam removal.
