Coastal Resilience Grant Program [Closes 6/5/2017]

On behalf of the Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs, the Massachusetts Office of Coastal Zone Management is pleased to announce the availability of funding for local efforts to reduce risks associated with coastal storms, flooding, erosion, and sea level rise through the Coastal Resilience Grant Program.   This grant program will provide up to $2.1 million in grants and technical assistance to coastal communities to advance innovative and transferable local resilience initiatives to increase awareness and understanding of climate impacts, assess vulnerability and risk, conduct adaptation planning, and redesign vulnerable community facilities and infrastructure.  Additionally, both coastal communities and eligible 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organizations may seek funding for non-structural (or green infrastructure) approaches that enhance natural resources and provide storm damage protection.

The FY18 Request for Responses (RFR) is available on the COMMBUYS website.  Questions may be sent in writing to Patricia Bowie (patricia.bowie@state.ma.us) until 4 p.m. on May 8.  Applications are due by 4 p.m. on June 5.
